Jila Taekwondo Association, Dehradun was formed by Mr. Shashikant Sharma, Black Belt V Dan. Association is registered under societies act also. The association is working towards development of Taekwondo in the territory of Dehradun regularly. Association is affiliated with Taekwondo Association of Uttarakhand, which is headed by Mr. Kamlesh Tiwari who is General secretary of the association which is affiliated to Taekwondo federation of India. The game is recognized by government of India and ministry of youth also. Association is regularly organizing the district and state level championships for players. Association is providing a very well organized platform for all round development of the athletes in the game of Taekwondo. In last so many years association has produced lot of national players as well as national referees for the state.
